Brilliant young Kiwi oboist, Thomas Hutchinson, international competition prize-winner and already three years into his job as Associate Principal of the MSO, is much in demand as a chamber musician and soloist. He is joined by a classy string band in oboe quartet/quintet repertoire and the strings play the driving and funky Rondo Mondo by Kiwi composer, Gareth Farr.
