Every year violinist Wilma Smith puts together three different groups and appealing programs including beloved masterpieces, premieres and undiscovered gems. Emerging young artists and established colleagues working together produce a musical chemistry that has become a special feature.

Wilma & Friends perform around Victoria, interstate, and in New Zealand but home base is one of Melbourne’s finest chamber music venues, Ian Roach Hall at Scotch College, Hawthorn. With easy, free parking, perfect acoustics and great sight-lines from every seat, this intimate 500-seat venue enhances performances for performers and audiences alike. Wine and refreshments are available at interval and afterwards where there is always an opportunity to meet and chat with the artists.

W&F groups undertake educational outreach by giving masterclasses or coaching chamber music ensembles in the communities where they perform and at Scotch College.
